Countable and uncountable nouns
English nouns are often described as "countable" or "uncountable".
Try this exercise to check if you can use countable and uncountable nouns correctly
Countable nouns
- Can be singular or plural
- Can use a / an
- Can be used alone in the plural
- Can use some, any, many and few in the plural
Uncountable nouns
- Have only one form
- Cannot be used with one, two, three etc
- Cannot use a / an, but can use 'a ..... of'
- Can be used alone
- Can use some, any, much and little
