Ex-politicians
The farmer went to investigate, dug a hole and buried the politicians, and went to report his actions to the police.

A bus-load of politicians were driving down a lane when suddenly the bus ran off the road, hit a tree, and careered into an old farmer's field.
Several days later the police call on the farmer to compile a report on the incident.

"Were they all dead, then, sir?"asks the officer.
"Well," replies the old farmer, "some of them said they weren't, but you know how politicians lie......"
