DAILY EXPLORER

GALLERY OWNER MEETS GRUESOME END!

The art world was in shock today at the news of the horrific murder of Robert T Guy.

Mr Guy, owner of the famously successful 'Massive' gallery, was found dead in his office at the rear of the gallery in the early hours of this morning.
A glittering party for selected guests had been held in 'Massive' last night, to celebrate the latest exhibition of work by renowned artist Rip Toft. As Toft, his glamorous wife 'Tik, and the cream of the art world sipped pink champagne and feasted on caviar and oysters whilst previewing Toft's work, Mr Guy was bludgeoned in death in what police sources have called a "sustained attack".

DI Nabbem, who will lead the investigation into the murder, refused to give any further details of the death, except to state that it was a vicious attack, and that they believe the murderer may have had access to the office and 'Massive' itself since it did not appear that a break-in at the premises had occurred.
Nabbem explained, "At this stage of the inquiry I do not want to give too much detail. There are, however, a number of people that I will need to speak to in the next few days regarding this crime, and many of those will, naturally, have been guests at the party that took place last night."

It is believed that Mr Guy's long-term girlfriend, Melanie Hart, had attended the party. Today Miss Hart was too upset to talk to us and is said to be devastated. She is being comforted by friends who intimated that the couple had been planning to wed soon.
